Dustin Brown Who Knocked Out Nadal Wimbledon 2015-FULL MATCH !!!!!! July 3, 2015 German tennis player Dustin Brown, who knocked out two-time Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal in four sets on Thursday, has garnered worldwide fanfare overnight with his giant-killing effort. But how well do you know the long-haired serve-and-volley player? Here are 8 things you didn't know about this 30-year-old athlete, who came up through the ranks after much struggle. 1. He has three nationalities. Born in 1984 in Celle, Germany, he moved with his parents to Jamaica, the birthplace of his father when he was 12 and played junior tennis there. His paternal grandmother was British so that made him available to represent Great Britain in the Davis Cup but he chose to play for Jamaica in 2003. He came back to Germany in 2004, and has played tennis in Europe since. 2. He has not had a haircut in 19 years.  3. He wears a tongue piercing... look closely below.  4. He has a mystery tattoo.  The tattoo he's got on his midriff, although first looked like Bob Marley, is actually Dennis Brown, a pioneer in Jamaican lovers rock music. 5. He survived in a Campervan.  In 2004, his parents gifted him a Campervan, much like the one above, for him to live and travel throughout Europe for his tennis assignments. This, after there was no inflow of funds from the Jamaican tennis authorities. It took the family six years to pay off the cost of the multi-purpose motor home and the final installment was paid in 2010 when Brown broke into the top-100 of ATP rankings. 6. Rafael Nadal is his bunny. Do you know it is not for the first time that the 6-foot 5-inch player has beaten Rafael Nadal? In fact, his first win against the former World No 1 Spaniard came in 2014 in the Garry Weber Open. Nadal is the only top-10 player that Dustin Brown has defeated twice in his career. 7. He has a thing for former champions. In 2013, Brown defeated 2002 Wimbledon champion Lleyton Hewitt 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2 and after the match said, "I cried like a little girl. It's going to take this a while to sink in. I'm not normally the kind of guy to cry. I'm playing Lleyton Hewitt, a guy you grow up watching." 8. But for him the struggle is very much on as he continues to fight prejudices everyday. His bohemian looks and build gave him a lot of problems being accepted as a youngster growing up in Germany, and those prejudices remain till date. "Sure, I stood out. And there were a lot of problems when I was younger, both at school and in the tennis world. Mostly, it's fine, I've got used to it, but even nowadays it can be a problem. If you're with one guy it doesn't matter so much, you go somewhere else, but if there are six or seven of you, and none of them can get in because of one guy and that guy always tends to be me it kind of takes the fun out of the whole thing," he says.
